Review: Yves Rocher Make Up Palette

Last month I've accidently ordered the Yves Rocher Make Up Palette. 

I don't know how familiar you are with this brand- but its established in France and focused on organic ingridients and beeing fair to the nature. This company doesn't use animal ingredients, is paraben and cruelty free in every way. 

In Austria this company is known for its free gifts with purchase. This time the condition was, if you ordered products worth 45€ you get the palette for free. I noticed that at the checkout. Great deal isn't it?!

I know that Yves Rocher products are always high pigmented and buttery and that was the case this time also. 

The palette contains 15 eyeshadows, 7 lipglosses, 2 blushes, a mirror and 3 brushes. You also get to picture instuctions on how to create a day and a night look. 

Yves Rocher eyeshadows are always pigmented and buttery in texture. The eyeshadows given, go from light to dark so you have a large variety of colors. The only color missing is black.  Unfortunatelly this palette doesn't contain any matte shades - some have glitter, some have a satin finish but no mattes. 

However the palette doesn't disappoint anybody. 

This palette is set up 
like those clear cases the Kardashian use to store their makeup. You have the first part, which opens up to reveil the mirror, the two face charts and offcourse the eyeshadows - for me the amazing part. 

The second part pulls out and has all the brushes, lip glosses and the blushes. 

When it comes to lipglosses, Yves Roches knows what he is doing. There are such gorgeous colors, from light to dark. 

Brushes - I don't like to use palette brushes since often they are just thrown in to make the palette look fuller. e.g. the lip gloss brush is too soft, the blush brush is to small to blend the blushes and the eyeshadow "brush" is a sponge aplicator. I don't really know how to blend eyeshadows with this aplicatiors. 

Lets not talk about the brushes - The make up itself is amazing. 

As you can see, the first, second and the last color in the first row are not as pigmented as the other shadows. Other than then this colors are great to use as highlighters. 

This row amazes me :) The colors are highly pigmented and just amazing. You can greate all kind of look using this row. 

I must say that a few eyeshadow remind me of MAC. e.g. The first color in the second row is a dupe for MAC Club. The fourth color in the last row is a dupe for MAC Cranberry. The last color in the second row is a dupe for satin taupe. Maybe I will do a comparison on my blog. 

The second compartment of this palette are lipglosses and blushes. 

In my oppinion the lipglosses are just amazing, but the blushes are not doing anything. I tried to swatch them on my hand with an eyeshadow primer but you couldn't see anything.

Here you can see the lipgloss swatches. They are pigmented and smell really nice. Some of them have a sticky consistency but is not too bad like the mac once. And they leave your lips moisturizes for a long time. 

The palette costs 12,00€ + shipping costs. An extremely good price for the quality you get.
